TRAIL SIGHT MOUNT:
Remove OEM Sleeve Nut and Bolt from the “Trail Sight”. Discard the bolt. We will reuse the Sleeve Nut.

Install the Sleeve Nut on the inner side of the Trail Sight. Place one nylon spacer in each of the two holes on the outer side of the Trail Sight, inside the bolt recessed hole. Then place the Back Plate against the Trail Sight and insert 2 shoulder bolts, WITH THREAD LOCK, into the Sleeve Nuts.

MAKE SURE TO USE THREAD LOCK ON THE SHOULDER BOLT THREADS
Install the rod tubes on the Main Plate with the M6 bolt and nuts.
There is a cavity in the rod tube for the nut. Place the nut into the cavity, then tighten the bolt.
DO NOT over-tighten the bolt and nut.
DO NOT use power tools to tighten the bolt.
(This can be done off the Bronco)

Opperation:

Use the provided bungee cords to help secure the rods in the rod tubes while driving.

NOTE: Make sure the handle of your inner rod does not hit your hood.
Troubleshooting:
If you are having trouble inserting the latch pin into the hole, here is how to fix this.
– Loosen the front shoulder bolt holding the back plate on.
– Pivot the back plate up or down on the rear shoulder bolt.
– Snug the front shoulder bolt and test the fit.
You may have to give the back plate a little pressure as you are tightening the front shoulder bolt, so it does not move back into the same spot.
We use 304 stainless steel for our hardware. While stainless steel is mostly rust-resistant, it can rust. Stainless steel is more known for being corrosion-resistant. Rust is oxidation, not corrosion.
If you do find some rust spots, here is how you can take care of them:
– Green Scotch Bright scrubby will take them right off. Make sure to scrub with the grain pattern on the surface of the stainless steel.
– Use some automotive wax to lightly coat the stainless steel to prevent oxidation.
You can make a latch pin leash from the fishing or leader line. On the mounting plate, directly above the latch pin hole, is a small hole specifically for a leash.
